About
To achieve the results we desire, we need to make thoughtful choices about which pathways to take to get to our destination.
We need perseverance and a clear vision of where we are going as well as the ability to adapt along the way. We also need support to get there, especially to where we’ve never been before. I am an experienced "guide" in helping people and companies move successfully along the path of action and desired results. I partner with clients to help them create a clear vision and "map" of where they want to go and to offer customized tools and strategies that avoid the pitfalls of doubt, procrastination, anxiety, loss of focus and lack of results.
Professional Journey
I have a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems where my specialization over the past 35+ years has been strategic planning, executive coaching, community building and leadership and team development.
In 2005, I became part of a coaching research project that resulted in the Appreciative Coaching model and book published in 2007: Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change. The success of the book led to many years of international travel presenting Appreciative Coaching workshops and conducting in person and online training events. I also have had a thriving Appreciative Coaching business working with executives, managers, professionals, authors and other business entrepreneurs.
I initiated a second coaching research project with my co-author which resulted in the book, Pivoting: A Coach’s Guide to Igniting Substantial Change (2017). After my colleague retired, I have continued to travel and work internationally and produce more scholarly work.
